The Mariupol City website has an article up comparing the occupation of Mariupol during WWII by German forces to what the Russians are doing today. It’s rather interesting, as there are some definite parallels between then and now. In some ways, the Germans come off looking better than the Russians, though when it’s a race to the bottom, is there really a “better?”
