A view out the window of my hotel room. Apparently (based on the two Ukrainian cities I’ve spent time in) buildings are built close(r) to the street, with a common courtyard in back that is hidden from casual view. This courtyard is fairly good sized and actually nicer than some others I have seen; this on had a nice grassy area and some playground equipment. Small courtyards seem more often used for tenant parking and garbage cans.
